Supporting Nervous System Regulation and Recovery at Home
At Charm City Integrative Health, we are often asked about tools patients can use at home to support stress regulation, recovery, sleep, and overall well-being.
The products featured here are ones we use personally, recommend clinically, or have seen patients benefit from over time.
We partner with a small number of companies whose products align with our approach to care and whose quality we trust.

Special New Partnership: Sound Frequency and Voice Analysis Support
Over the past year I’ve been exploring several at-home tools that support nervous system regulation, sleep, and overall resilience between treatments. One that I’ve personally been using and have had a positive experience with is the Alignment Protocol, a sound-based wellness program that uses brief voice analysis and customized listening sessions to support daily balance and recovery.
The process is simple and entirely remote. A short voice recording is used to generate personalized sound sessions that can be listened to at home, usually while resting, working, or sleeping. Many people use it alongside meditation, breathwork, acupuncture, or other wellness practices as part of a broader self-care routine.
For those who choose to explore it through our clinic, enrollment is handled directly through Charm City. After registering, you’ll be connected with the Alignment team, including a one-on-one session with co-founder Nini Tolson, who reviews your voice analysis and helps you get started with your personalized listening protocol.
This is not a medical or diagnostic service, but an optional wellness tool for those who are curious about sound and nervous system support. My wife and I have both incorporated it into our routines and have appreciated the experience so far.

MUSE Headband for Meditation
Muse is a biofeedback meditation headband that provides real-time feedback during meditation. It can be helpful for people who want a more tangible way to build focus and consistency. Dr. Tom has been using Muse in his own meditation practice since 2017 and has seen it support both beginners and experienced meditators.
Sensate for Relaxation
Sensate is a wearable relaxation device that uses low-frequency sound and gentle vibration placed over the chest. It’s designed to support the body’s natural calming response and may be helpful for people experiencing chronic stress, tension, or difficulty unwinding.
We often recommend Sensate for patients who feel “stuck in high gear” and want a passive, no-effort approach to support relaxation, especially in the evening or before sleep.
HeartMath for Heart Rate Variability
HeartMath devices use heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback to help users become more aware of how stress, emotions, and breathing patterns affect their bodies. By pairing simple techniques with real-time feedback, HeartMath supports the development of emotional regulation and resilience over time.
We often recommend HeartMath to people who appreciate measurable data and want a structured way to manage stress, focus, or performance, both in daily life and during recovery.
Vital Red Light
Vital Red Light offers red and near-infrared light therapy devices designed for home use to support recovery, circulation, and overall cellular health. Light therapy is commonly used as a complementary wellness tool to support muscle recovery, joint comfort, skin health, and general well-being.
The red and near-infrared wavelengths used by Vital Red Light are consistent with those commonly used in clinical-grade light therapy systems and are adapted for safe, practical home use.
NeuroVizr
NeuroVIZR uses synchronized light-and-sound sessions to support relaxation, focus, and mental recovery. Many people find structured audiovisual experiences helpful for unwinding after periods of stress, improving creative flow, or creating a clear transition between work and rest.
Some people find immersive light and sound sessions helpful when traditional meditation feels difficult or when mental fatigue is high. It can provide a structured way to shift from a busy mental state to a more restorative one.
